Pesanane Farmer Forestry School

In the south west of Tanzania most farmers plant trees on their private lands for timber. The Mgololo tree planter association has approached farip with this idea: They want to build their capacity to provide their growing trees as security for getting loans. For that purpose they want to start with a forest caretaker who runs his own commercial nursery that specializes on indigenous tree species. It looks like this idea can become a major breakthrough for both environment and rural financing. Have a look at the first concept paper
